Sharing BlogHer SWAG – My First Giveaway

What is SWAG?

SWAG is when “we hear about celebrities and their fabulous goody bags they receive for presenting awards, attending opening parties and the like. These little perks are called “swag,” which is short for “stuff we all get.”

I’ve been to conferences before and am familiar with companies sharing full size product samples or sharing brand new items to generate buzz. While preparing for BlogHer and reading forum posts from previous attendees, I was surprised to find out SWAG was an as talked about subject as parties and what to wear.

I found out I could:
Exchange, donate or grab extra SWAG
Bring extra luggage for your SWAG
Pack up and ship home your SWAG
Leave the nice housekeeping staff your SWAG

I went to San Diego with a conscious effort only to lug home return with items that was pertinent to me, my family, or to my readers.
That’s you Mom & Dad.

Now, on the off chance I have a few more readers than family and obligated co-workers, I decided to offer up some of the cool stuff I brought home from BlogHer. Sharing is caring, right? And I care about you!

The Giveaway: One copy of Plan to Party by Elizabeth Mascali and Dawn Sandomeno

This book is full of enticing pictures and ideal information for planning and pulling off an amazing soiree! Y’all know I love easy recipes that DH can follow too, and there are plenty to choose from in this book, as well as party theme ideas and even checklists so you don’t forget anything along the way.

Dawn and Elizabeth also offer a website www.partybluprintsblog.com that offers even more tips and tricks for planning the perfect party to fit your budget and pull it off with complete success. Check out this delicious Labor Day weekend party menu just in case you are like me and don’t know what you are doing for the holiday yet.

My favorite everyday food to make is Mexican – tacos are so easy to make and you can use any leftover chicken and veggies! For parties I like Spanish type tapas.
Thank you for the chance to win!

My kids love it when I make “homemade” chicken nuggets for dinner! I top the dish off with a good veggie to offset the grease and I am told I am the best mom in the world!

I love Mexican food. It’s so easy to use to introduce veggies to your kids w/o them knowing it. Everything tastes better with salsa and cheese!

I sometimes like to cook. It’s a hit and miss. My family can be picky somedays. Often we make something but not 100% from scratch.
